Once in a life time, for a change, I have decided to bite the bullet, pay the extra cost and have a family holiday in the UK. (Believe me for a family going to Spain for instance is so much cheaper). I decided to go for a real farm stay. You know the one with pigs and chicken.
The internet was my natural starting point. For the last few days, I have been looking at dozens of websites, but so far I have not found a good site that can help me. There are many problems with the sites I looked at. Some give me long lists and I have to go through one by one; others are not updated: they show availability but when you call (no online check in) they tell you they are taken yet others give prices, but when you call you find 20-30% extra in hidden costs: (some charge extra for water, heating and electricity for instance).
Does anyone know any good sites that can help with finding a UK farm stay holiday? Alternatively, can anyone recommend a good place to go to?

Last year we went for lots and lots of trips and when we went on long ones we always had a Bed and Breakfast and every one was brilliant because my friend Helen has got a book with them in by a man called alistair sawday so maybe he does a guide to longer holiday places. They are not the always very cheap but so far we have not been disappointed and even if a place was booked the people wopuld usually tell you somewhere else that was good when we phoned them up.
