A few days ago there was a lot of fuss about a recent survey claiming that the English hate kids. Well, lots of my neighbours seem to tolerate kids, so I am not sure what the survey meant, and if its reliable.
However, one thing is obvious; kids today are treated fundamentally different to the way we grew up only a generation ago. Nothing demonstrates this better than a small booklet published by the police and distributed to our kids through their schools. Its called KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
When we were kids we got a similar booklet. It was called RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES. Need I say more?

I dunno', I was just reading a friend's post, who thought it a great laugh that a 2 year old was saying "f-ck" which he was being allowed to learn from his 11 year old brother...also, the Uk has no problem with giving alcohol to those under 21...and they let their kids stay up all night, go out wherever they want (well, some parents do that here, as well) and don't teach them any of the basics of common courtsey, like how to address an adult, how to eat a table, how to speak on the telephone...therefore, I personally conclude that adults in the UK don't so much hate kids, and just plain don't give a faff about them. Kids are living knick-knacks and pets are given more discipline and care, than some children and teens are.
